2007 Pontiac G6 GXP Concept - Auto Shows This slammed 270-hp G6 turns the style up to 11 with 19-inch rims and big spoilers.April 2006 Pontiac’s G6 coupe appears in sportier, more aggressive garb as a GXP concept. Power comes from a 3.9-liter V-6 — the same agricultural unit found in the G6 GTP — but here it makes 30 more horsepower thanks to a new intake and exhaust. On the outside, the car sits closer to the pavement and boasts a wide rear spoiler, hood scoops reminiscent of the Pontiac GTO’s, and shiny dual tailpipes. Whorehouse red leather seat inserts don’t quite match candy apple gauge accent rings and shift knob trim. It’s as though Pontiac’s stylists got drunk with a JC Whitney catalog and maxed out their corporate cards. The car is intended to gauge public reaction before Pontiac decides whether to produce the GXP. All the people who miss the Chevrolet Monte Carlo Intimidator edition will take note of this exciting concept.
